About Me

Dr. Sydney Osborne, DPT has over 13 years of experience as a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy & over 21 years of experience in the health & fitness industry. She received her Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Science & Minor in Psychology from Linfield College in McMinnville, OR. Sydney then went on and earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree at A.T. Still University in Arizona graduating in 2010. Her clinical focus is outpatient orthopedics where she enjoys working with all ages and levels of patients. Sydney has specialized over the past 12 years in pelvic rehabilitation, treating pelvic floor dysfunction in men, women, pregnancy and postpartum care. She is trained in running analysis, enjoys coaching running form & return to run programs after injury or surgery. She is passionate for lifestyle medicine & helping her patients find a joy in movement.  More recently she is studying peer reviewed cutting edge pain neuroscience research to improve her treatment outcomes in chronic symptoms that are not responding to traditional methods.  She is passionate about truly helping her patients progress, helps her patients establish an optimal care team and tailors her treatments to her patients needs.  

 

As a weight neutral provider Sydney will not use weight as a defining factor of health and uses an intuitive exercise and movement approach to shift the focus on making healthy choices based on internal body cues. Using science to guide exercise prescription recommendations while reframing exercise to be joyful movement instead of something that you must do even if you dislike it. By doing this, people tend to become much more consistent with participation in exercise which in turn contributes to improved health.

Sydney has a passion for staying active.  She has completed Ironman, half ironman & olympic triathlons; enjoys paddle boarding, long hikes, walking, skiing, snow shoeing, open water swimming, pilates, weight training, hiking, a variety of body weight & weight training regimes. She enjoys traveling to different cities & countries to explore culture, lifestyle & food. Her aspiring hobbies include sailing & cooking.
